Roman-born owner/executive chef Pino Bodoni
and his wife Giancarla, chef de cuisine, have
created a sophisticated menu that blends traditional
Italian and contemporary flavors, earning them
exceptional reviews and national acclaim as
one of South Florida's Best Restaurants, according
to the Zagat Survey 2003.
Using primarily imported products and only the
freshest ingredients to create haute cuisine,
the menu features an array of interesting hot
and cold appetizers like asparagus flan with
mixed cheese "Fonduta" and truffle
mushrooms. Homemade risotto and pastas, like
pumpkin and amaretto filled ravioli with vegetable
brunoise and truffle cream sauce, along with
a selection of imported meats and fish are served.
Pino, a certified sommelier,
has a cellar that houses 170 cases of wines
and champagnes from Italy, and can be found
mingling with patrons nightly, discussing the
menu and suggesting wines.
Escopazzo is a South Florida landmark, located
in South Beach, where the local gourmets, celebrities,
and wine aficionados enjoy its authentic Italian
cuisine, and charming personalized service.
The
90-seat restaurant has made a name for itself
attracting a steady creme de la creme clientele
including Patti La Belle, Harrison Ford, Cameron
Diaz, Janet Jackson, Michelle Pfeiffer, David
Geffen, Chris Blackwell, Gladys Knight, Emilio
and Gloria Estefan, and celebrity chef Mario
